U are on the way to xplore this device with me................

One word description about the device is - 'GREAT!'

Lets check out the aesthetics of the device before becoming tech savvy. The device has a CandyBar shape with glossy finish. Sleek design of the phone is astonishing. 3x4 keypad is quite roomy, headed with square navigation button which is bit raised then other keys. Well no more words can describe better then in pics, vot say?

And the most beautiful part of the phone, eye candy design with loud noise............

Talking about the Features and Specifications which i found interesting after USING it.

  • Its Price! - 5400 INR only. (Best Value for money in its class)
  • Battery Performance - Personal rating 4.5/5. 1020 mAh capacity. Personal Experience Talktime : 5 hrs, Music Playback : 10 hrs, Video Playback : 3 hrs. This is mainly dependent of the kind of personal use of the device feature. Overall performance of battery is rewarding.
  • Design - Slim, Sleek, Glossy, Available in vibrant Colours i.e Marine Blue, Red, Silver. (Region Dependent)
  • 5 Dedicated Music Keys - Play/Pause, Previous, Next, Volume Up, Volume Down
  • 3.5 mm Jack - Compatible with most of the personal hearing gadgets and music system i/ps
  • Micro USB Slot - Suits best with the design and is technically sound. To be specific its, USB 2.0
  • Micro SD Card Slot - Smallest available memory gadget available in market & u get 1GB card Free.
  • Screen Size - 2 inch full dispaly with max. 256k colour. Its brillant and smart.
  • Speaker - Personal rating would be 4/5. (Loudness, Clarity, Design, Working) Only thing annoying is the placement of speaker. In the ideal rest position i.e. screen facing up, speaker is left behind affecting the loudness during its working (ringing, music playing etc..) The external design of speaker is my personal favorite.
  • Software/OS - Symbian 40 series phone software is worth best for user interface. Supports almost all required softwares/applications and almost all file formats for daily use. eg. Dictionary, Games, Mobile Office etc..
  • Internet - Supports GPRS release 4 class 32, EDGE class 32, Can be used as modem for Offline PC. It supports HTML, xHTML. It supports WAP 2.0. and TCP/IP. It has built in MiniOpera Web Browser.
  • Camera - 2.0 Megapixel. Though indoor night photography would be quite unpleasing, but outdoor is quite acceptable. It offers 4x zoom in photo shoot with 6 variable sizes and various white balance modes and colour tone modes. It has also Light balance mode. Videography is also supported with 2 screen sizes (max. 176x144 pixels) upto 15 fps (frames per second, its describes the motion capturing rate by device). My Personal rating about camera would be 3.5/5.
  • Connectivity - Bluetooth, Micro USB, PC Suite, E-mail with attachments, MMS, SMS, and obviously Phone Calling!

 DRAWBACKS/ Lacking Features:
  • No Dedicated Key for Camera - May be because its a Music Phone and no more space available to add a button.
  • Video Playback - As such it internal memory is 30 MB (incl. of  Preloaded Content), but while playing video file larger than 18 MB would give a creeping breaks, while is annoying. This is my personal experience.
  • Keypad Design - This is personally concerned. i find it quite slippery due to plastic finish, otherwise quite roomy.

Health Manners & Precaution!

All of us make little health mistakes that cause damage to our bodies in the long run - simply because we are unaware we are doing something wrong. Here are some of the most common mistakes made by many of us.

Crossing our Legs
Do you cross your legs at your knees when sitting? Although we may believe that this is the lady-like elegant way to sit, sitting this way cuts down circulation to your legs. If you don't want varicose veins to mar the beauty of your legs and compromise your health, uncross your legs every time you realize you have one knee on top of the other. The best way to sit is to simply place both legs together on the floor, balancing your weight equally. If you feel like changing position, instead of crossing your legs, simply move both legs together to one side. As an alternative, you could also consider crossing your legs loosely at the ankles. This is a classically elegant way to sit, and is far better for your legs and your health than sitting with your legs crossed at your knees.

Not changing our Toothbrush
How often do you change your toothbrush? Most of us wait until most of the bristles have either fallen off, or are in such bad shape that we'd be embarrassed to pull out our brush in public. However, since not many of us need to pull out our brush in public, we carry on with our frayed one until we lose it. Replace your toothbrush often. Damaged bristles can harm the enamel, and don't massage your gums well. If you find brushing your teeth a pain like I do, but know you must do it, you might as well be doing it right. Imagine going through the annoyance of brushing your teeth twice a day only to find out that you're damaging your enamel every time you clean your teeth. Also, use a brush with soft bristles unless your dentist has advised otherwise.

Eating out often
There are oils that are high in cholesterol, and oils that cause little harm and are better for your heart. However, no matter how light the oil is, it is never a good idea to eat too much of it. Avoid fried foods. Remember that in all probability your favorite Indian food restaurant throws a huge, HUGE chunk of butter in a tiny bowl of dal. Rita, who worked in the kitchen of a 5 star hotel, was shocked when she saw the cook chop a 500gm butter slab in half, and throw half into a Paneer Makhani dish. No wonder the customers left licking their fingers. And no wonder they felt so stuffed and heavy afterwards. Limit outdoor eating unless you know that you"re getting served light and healthy food.

Skipping Breakfast
Never, ever skip breakfast. Remember, when you wake up in the morning it's been around 10-12 hours since your last meal. Your body needs food now, more than at any other time. Eat a heavy breakfast. You will then be busy through the day, and the calories will get expended quickly. If you are trying to diet, eat a light dinner. Here are some more common health mistakes we make. Being informed and making a few changes can help make us feel a whole lot better.

High Heels
High heels sure look great, but they're murder for your back. This however doesn't mean you should steer clear of stilettos. Wear them, but not when you know you will be walking around a lot. Wear them when going out for lunch or dinner - when the only walking you will be doing is to your car, to the table, and back. Avoid high heels when you are going somewhere on foot. If you are constantly tempted to wear your heels, take a good look at your flats. Is there something about them you dislike? Invest in a new pair of beautiful flats or shoes with a low heel. Buy something you love, that you will enjoy wearing. If possible, get a matching bag. You will then enjoy your flats as much as you do your heels.

Sleeping on a Soft Bed
You don't have to sleep on the floor be kind to your back, but do make sure you have a firm mattress. Although a mattress on springs is soft and lovely to sink into, it's bad for your back. If you already have an old bed with springs, you don't need to invest in a new one - simply get a thick wooden plank put over the springs, and place the mattress on the plank. Similarly, if your mattress is old and lumpy, throw it out and get a new one. Your neck and your back will thank you. The same rule applies to sofas. If you will be spending hours on a sofa, get a firm yet comfortable one. Sofas you completely sink into are not the best idea.
Pillows
No matter how comfortable sleeping with ten cushions is, have pity on your neck and resist. Sleep with one pillow, and make sure it is not too thick. If your pillow gets lumpy, discard it and go for a new one. Get a thin pillow if you sleep on your stomach, and something a little thicker if you sleep on your back, to give your neck adequate support.

Not Exercising
So all of us know we should exercise more, but many of us don't. This is a health mistake we consciously make! And why is that? Simply because we refuse to admit the damage we are causing to our bodies by not working out.. A number of people only start working out once they've experienced a warning signal. Don't wait for a heart attack to strike before you decide to opt for a lifestyle change. Make the change now. You don't need to train for the marathon to be in top shape. Half an hour of brisk walking three to four times a week will make a world of difference to your health. You could then increase this to forty minutes, four times a week - and you're all set. If you haven't exercised for a week, you're making a mistake.

Mind Controlled Wheel Chair

Spanish scientists managed to create a wheelchair that a person can control by simply thinking about the desired destination. People who have disabilities that prevent them from using the joystick can control this latest invention in technology by simply thinking where they want to go.

The wheelchair features a laser scanner that helps create a 3D image of the surroundings. The image that shows the area around is displayed on a screen installed in front of the user, who needs to concentrate on the part of the screen where they wish to go and the wheelchair acts in response.

In order to identify the brain activity of the user, researchers use a skullcap that helps work out the destination they want to go to.

The engineer, who came up with the idea of developing a wheelchair that can be controlled by the mind, is Dr Javier Minguez from the University of Zaragoza in Spain. He mentioned that it took only 45 minutes for the study participants to learn to control the device.

This is the latest invention to be controlled with the help of thought. But the wheelchair prototype is still not ready to hit the stores, due to the fact that it can only handle two thoughts every minute. Researchers look forward to creating faster and more complex versions in future.

Award Winning Photograph by Kevin Carter

From Smart Pics

Prize: Pulitzer Prize

The Tragedy behind the Photo :

The above photo is Kevin Carter's Pulitzer Prize winning photo taken in 1994 during the Sudane famine. The picture depicts a famine striken child being stalked by a vulture. The child is crawling towards a United Nations food camp, located a kilometer away.

No one knows what happened to the child, including the photographer who left the scene as soon as the photo was taken. He later confided to friends that he wished he had intervened. Journalists at the time were warned never to touch famile victims for fear of disease.

Three months later, and only weeks after being bestowed with the Pulitzer Prize, Kevin Carter committed suicide.

Difference between Resume, CV & Bio-Data

People use the words RESUME, C.V., and BIO-DATA interchangeably for the document highlighting skills, education, and experience that a candidate submits when applying for a job. On the surface level, all the three
mean the same. However, there are intricate differences.

RESUME

Resume Is a French word meaning "summary", and true to the word meaning, signifies a summary of one's employment, education, and other skills, used in applying for a new position. A resume seldom exceeds one
side of an A4 sheet, and at the most two sides. They do not list out all the education and qualifications, but only highlight specific skills customized to target the job profile in question. A resume is usually broken into bullets and written in the third person to appear objective and formal. A good resume starts with a brief
Summary of Qualifications, followed by Areas of Strength or Industry Expertise in keywords, followed by Professional Experience in reverse chronological order. Focus is on the most recent experiences, and prior
experiences summarized. The content aims at providing the reader a balance of responsibilities and accomplishments for each position. After Work experience come Professional Affiliations, Computer Skills, and Education.

C.V CURRICULUM VITAE

C.V Is a Latin word meaning "course of life". Curriculum Vitae (C.V.) is therefore a regular or particular course of study pertaining to education and life. A C.V. is more detailed than a resume, usually 2 to 3 pages, but can run even longer as per the requirement. A C.V. generally lists out every skills, jobs, degrees, and professional affiliations the applicant has acquired, usually in chronological order. A C.V. displays general talent rather than specific skills for any specific positions.

BIO-DATA

Bio Data the short form for Biographical Data, is the old-fashioned terminology for Resume or C.V. The emphasis in a bio data is on personal particulars like date of birth, religion, sex, race, nationality,
residence, martial status, and the like. Next comes a chronological listing of education and experience. The things normally found in a resume, that is specific skills for the job in question comes last, and
are seldom included. Bio-data also includes applications made in specified formats as required by the company.

A resume is ideally suited when applying for middle and senior level positions, where experience and specific skills rather than education is important. A C.V., on the other hand is the preferred option for fresh
graduates, people looking for a career change, and those applying for academic positions. The term bio-data is mostly used in India while applying to government jobs, or when applying for research grants and
other situations where one has to submit descriptive essays. Resumes present a summary of highlights and allow the prospective employer to scan through the document visually or electronically, to see
if your skills match their available positions. A good resume can do that very effectively, while a C.V. cannot. A bio-data could still perform this role, especially if the format happens to be the one recommended by the employer.

Personal information such as age, sex, religion and others, and hobbies are never mentioned in a resume. Many people include such particulars in the C.V. However, this is neither required nor considered in the US
market. A Bio-data, on the other hand always include such personal particulars.
